Details of Disappearance
Christine Green was last seen in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 23rd 1985. She was last seen at approximately 8:00 am as she left her family’s residence on Greenway Avenue.
Christine was supposed to catch the Woodland Avenue trolley and go to Bartlem High School that day to attend her classes. She never made it to school and was never seen or heard from again.
There was initial speculation that Christine ran away due to a possible pregnancy but it is not believed that this transpired as her family stated she did not have a history of running away and she always kept her loved ones aware of her whereabouts.
Authorities suspect that foul play may have been involved in Christines case. It’s possible that her disappearance is connected to the December 1985 disappearance of Allen Briscoe Jr. as they went to the same high school and were the same age when they vanished.
At the time of her disappearance, Christine was described as a good student who had no record of being either late or absent from school. She was close or her family which included 7 siblings and her mother who was ill and bedridden at the time of her disappearance.
Some agencies classify Christine as a runaway. Her disappearance remains unsolved. Her mother passed away less then 6 months after she vanished.
