Details of Disappearance

Giannina was last seen in Luquillo, Puerto Rico on May 5th 1974. She was last seen along with her older brother, John. They were supposed to go on an outing to the beach with a family friend and his three children. The two left their home to do so bit apparently never arrived and were never seen or heard from again after they left.

Investigators believe both Giannina and John were abducted for a ransom of $72,000. 8 months after they were taken, a man named, Thomas Rodriguez, took his own life in Florida. He allegedly left behind a note in which he detailed the plot to kidnap both children and his role in their abduction.

Despite the note, no arrests have been made in relation to Giannina and John’s cases. Their father passed away in 1982 but their mother is still alive. She has cancer and she has legally declared her two children as deceased. Giannina and John remain missing.
