Details of Disappearance
Kreneice was last seen in Woodville, Mississippi on May 10th 1992. She was accompanied by a younger friend, LaMoine Allen, at the time. They were last seen playing in front of a rural grocery store known as the Jimmy Jackson Grocery Store. The store was located on Highway 24 just 4 miles east of Woodville. They were there with up to 20 other people.
The children were both known to be playing with some older kids before they went missing until these older children asked them to leave them alone. LaMoine and Kreneice were last seen at 4:00 pm. A female witness reported she drove by Highway 24 and saw the children near the road at the time. This is the last confirmed sighting of them.
They both disappeared at some point afterwards and were never seen again. Despite extensive searching by both law enforcement and federal investigators, no trace of either Kreneice or LaMoine have ever been found. Wooded areas and waterways were searched with no result.
Investigators speculate that both children were abducted by a stranger but have no firm suspects in the case. Family members were interviewed but are not suspected of any involvement in the case. An unknown blue compact car with a false convertible top, chrome hubcaps, and dark tinted windows was seen in the area when the children came up missing.
Investigators are not sure if the vehicle is connected the children’s case in any way. At the time of their disappearance, LaMoine was with relatives that he lived with in Edgar, Louisiana in 1992. Kreneice was there with her father who was separated from her mother at the time. The children remain missing and their case unsolved.
