Details of Disappearance

James was last seen on June 12th 1991 in Tucson, Arizona. He had spent the previous night at his babysitters cousins house while his mother and aunt were out of town. The cousin was a middle aged man and the home was located in the 700 block of West Paris Promenade Street.

There are differing accounts as to how James went missing. One was that James left the home during the night. In this scenario, James was last seen at 8:00 pm at a Circle K near North Oracle and West Grand roads. He was apparently walking back to his home which was a mile away. This was according to a 4 year old nephew of the man, he was also staying at the home with James.

According to other accounts, James left the home during the following morning. A witness allegedly saw him walking near Oracle Road and Grant Road. This is the last confirmed sighting of James. He has never been seen or heard from again. It’s possible he stopped at a 7-11 store on his way home.

Investigators initially assumed James to be a runaway. He was considered a streetwise kid when he went missing but he had no prior history of leaving on his own accord. They have since dismissed the theory and now believe other factors caused James to go missing that day.

Investigators have named a suspect in his disappearance. The person has not been publicly identified but they have released the fact that he is male. He was questioned in the years after his disappearance but was never criminally held accountable for his disappearance. No one has ever been arrested in relation to James case.

At the time of James disappearance, he lived in his home in the 200 block of east Delano Street with his mother. He was supposed to enter the 6th grade at Amphi Middle School in the fall but he disappeared before this could happen. His father lived in Michigan at the time and hadn’t contacted his son in several years by that time.

James disappearance remains unsolved and foul play is suspected. His mother originally lived out of state after his disappearance but has since returned and remains in contact with law enforcement about her sons case. He hasn’t been located.
