Details of Disappearance
Deanna was last seen in Killeen, Texas on July 22nd 1990. She spent the late evening of July 21st with her grandmother watching movies at her home before her grandmother went to sleep. After her grandmother went to sleep, Deanna snuck out of the house to go and visit her fraternal twin sister, Rebecca.
Rebecca lived with an uncle about 2 1/2 miles away from the home DeAnna was staying in. Rebecca resides in the Oak Springs Trailer Park in the 500 block of Dimple Street. Rebecca stated that Deanna arrived at the trailer park at approximately 3:30 am. She was reportedly riding in a brown/bronze four door vehicle being driven by two still unidentified male subjects. The men were either Caucasian or Hispanic.
Deanna knocked on Rebecca’s bedroom window to wake her up and the girls talked to each other for a while. Deanna then left with the two men in their vehicle after her and Rebecca’s conversation woke up their uncle. She wasn’t seen again at that time.
Deanna and her sister did not have an easy life. Their mother was an alcoholic and Deanna was sexually abused. Her and Rebecca grew up in the homes of other relatives. She was staying with her grandmother as a result of the problems in her life at the time.
In 1992, 2 years after her disappearance, Rebecca received a collect phone call from someone who identified herself as being Deanna. She accepted the call but the person on the other end hung up when they connected. The phone call was traced to Horse Cave, Kentucky but the caller was not found and it hasn’t been confirmed the person was in fact Deanna.
Rebecca also later found out that police in Hurst, Texas ran Deanna’s name and birth date through their computer at a traffic stop 5 years after her disappearance in 1995. In between the years 2000 and 2002, a relative who didn’t live in Texas claimed that Deanna visited and said she wanted to stay hidden. The relative also stated Deanna had multiple tattoos at the time. The account has never been confirmed.
Investigators believe that Deanna ran away when she disappeared in 1990. Her case is classified as such with various agencies including law enforcement.
At the time of her disappearance, Deanna was described as a free spirited child, street smart, and rebellious. She was known to enjoy music by Def Leppard, White Snake, and Ozzy Osbourne at the time. Her mother has since died but Rebecca is alive and continues to search for her missing sister. She remains hopeful that Deanna is alive and will contact her one day. She believes she left to create a better life for herself.
Deanna’s case remains unsolved and there’s been no sign of her since 1990. Her current whereabouts are a mystery
