Details of Disappearance
Denise was last seen on March 10th 1984 in San Francisco, California. She was in the company of her boyfriend, Richardo Lupercio, and two other teenagers whom were a couple at the Sutro Bath Cliff . They were on a double date when they went to near the visit the cliff area. The cliff area is located near the Sutro Bath section of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. They went to the area at 2:30 am.
Denise was standing against a guardrail but lost her balance when Richardo leaned forward to kiss her. He attempted to grab her and fell as well. They both fell 30 feet below onto the rocks and heavy surf. Their two friends lost sight of Denise but did see Richardo. He was lying on the rocks below, he said he couldn’t move and that something was wrong with his back.
One of their friends ran to the parking lot to get help. The other friend went down to the rocks and attempted to grab Richardo but he was gone by that time. It’s presumed that the two teenagers were swept out to sea. At the time of her disappearance, Denise resided in Belmont, California.
Denise and Richardo have never been located but they are presumed deceased.
