Details of Disappearance
Solomon Rose III was last seen in Baltimore, Maryland on April 1st 1972. His mother, Charlene Gray, took him and his 7 old cousin, Tyronica Johnson, to go shopping at the Mondawmin Shopping Center.
She was going to cash a check at the Sears Roebuck store and told Tyronica to watch Solomon as she did so. She said they were watching a set of colored television sets in the mall at the time which was approximately 6:00 pm. When she returned just two minutes later, Solomon was gone. She found her niece watching the television.
Charlene asked Tyronica was happened and she said that she let go of Solomon’s hand because he wanted to go watch a record player. She didn’t know where he was at the time. He has never been seen or heard from again. Investigators believe that Solomon was abducted by a non family member; possibly someone who couldn’t have children.
Extensive searching took place for the child and his disappearance was published in the newspapers at the time but few leads have developed. He lived with his mother and family on North Stricker Street at the time of his disappearance. Solomon’s case remains unsolved.
