Details of Disappearance

Thomas was last seen in Prospect, Oregon on July 11th 1950. He was last seen leaving to go fishing at the Rogue River. He was known to fish frequently and there was a cable car that strung over the river, he liked to sit in it and fish in the center of the river. He was never seen or heard from again afterwards.

Police found the cable car above the center of the river where he usually fished. They also found his fishing rod and several fish that he had caught. Investigators found no trace of him and its presumed that he either fell or jumped into the river and drowned.

20 years before his disappearance, Thomas’s mother’s first husband and their 6 year old son both drowned in a fishing accident in the Rogue River. The accident occurred in the summer of 1930. Thomas remains missing and investigators have yet to recover his body.
