Details of Disappearance

Andria Bailey was last seen at some point in the late 1970s; specifically in 1978 or 1979. She went missing from Spanaway, Washington. Accounts differ as to how exactly she went missing. Some agencies say that Andria was last seen walking home from school and other say that she was last seen walking to a party. She lived with her grandmother at the time.

Andria’s parents were in Germany at the time of her disappearance due to military service. They both returned to Pierce County to search for Andria. Her mother reported her missing 10 years later in 1989 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Due to the huge gap in time between her being reported missing, Andria wasn’t officially listed as a missing person until 1995.

The exact date of when she went missing is unknown. It’s given as October 29th 1979 because her mother reported her missing on October 29th 1989. They use the date as a best guess for when she disappeared. Investigators once considered that Bailey might have been a victim of the Green River killings but this has since been ruled out.

Andria remains missing and the circumstances of her disappearance are unclear. Her case remains unsolved.
