Details of Disappearance

Corey Gilbert was last seen in Jefferson, Louisiana on December 16th 1984. He disappeared from the Ten-To-Ten grocery store in the 3200 block of Jefferson Highway at 12:30 pm. He was playing a video game with another boy and the boy turned his back for a brief moment. When he turned back, Corey had disappeared. He was never seen or heard from again afterwards.

Investigators have considered that Corey may have fallen into the Mississippi River and drowned but it’s unclear as to what exactly happened to him and he has never been found. At the time of his disappearance, Corey lived in the 500 block of Causeway Boulevard. His disappearance remains unsolved.
