Details of Disappearance

Deanne was last seen in Rahls Island, Manitoba, Canada on January 25th 1981. She was playing with two other children on the ice of the Saskatchewan River when the ice broke and Deanne and another child broke through into the water. The other child was able to pull themself out but Deanne could not. She was last seen going under the water.

The ice on the river was thin from warm water that was being dumped by the mill into the river. Despite searches of the waters, Deannes body was not recovered and she’s presumed to have perished in the water. She remains listed as a missing person.
