Details of Disappearance

Adrien was last seen at Holmes Lake as he fishes with his family there. He fished for about an hour and had gotten tired and his line was tangled. He went off to play as hairy distance away and was later seen wandering into a wooded area. He was never seen or heard from again.

When his father noticed he had vanished, he sent Adrien’s older brother to the car to find him but he wasn’t there. His father and his friend searched for him for hours until police were called. An extensive search turned up no sign of the boy.

Authorities have investigated theories that Adrien simply died in the area or that he was possibly abducted. His family believes a couple who desperately wanted a child found Adrien wandering the roads and took him. It’s also been considered that Adrien may have wandered into the road and was struck by a vehicle. The driver may have hidden his body to avoid trouble.

In 2016, a podcast known as “Someone Knows Something” did an 11 part series investigating Adrien’s disappearance. They searched Holmes lake believing it was likely that the boy fell in and drowned. Three cadaver dogs were used in the search and they each alerted that human remains were at the bottom of Holmes lake.

Searches of the lake revealed a piece of rubber material that may have been part of a child’s shoe and a tiny fragment that resembled a human tooth. The object was examined by police but it was determined that this fragment was not a human tooth.

Adrians case remains unsolved. He has never been located.
