Details of Disappearance

Edna Christine Thorne was last seen in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 24th 1975. She was last seen at a family members residence as she left the Tiago street horse stables.

Edna disappeared afterwards and was never seen or heard from again. On the day of her disappearance, she left her home on Front Street to go to her family members home. Edna invited her younger sister to accompany her but she did not.

Authorities initially treated Edna as a runaway but eventually concluded this to be unlikely. Authorities suspect that Thorne was abducted by a non family member and possibly killed.

Edna’s brother in law was treated as a possible suspect in Thorne’s disappearance. There have been allegations made that he sexually abused Edna and that she may have been impregnated from the abuse. She was apparently seen arguing with him the day she disappeared at the Staples.

It’s been said that he murdered her and may have dumped her remains in a private landfill in New Jersey. He was a garbage disposal person. He has not be confirmed to be Edna’s killer and authorities still believe that Thorne was abducted.

Edna’s case remains unsolved.
