Details of Disappearance
Rachel Ziselman was last seen in Pacific Palisade, California on September 5th 1977. She was last seen at approximately 4:00 pm as she walked back to her family’s residence from a supermarket that was located two blocks away. She was carrying groceries in a bag.
While she was having trouble carrying the bags, no one saw her get into a vehicle. Rachel was never seen again. The bikini she was widely reported to have been wearing was found at her home in her bedroom. She apparently changed cloths before she left.
At the time of her disappearance, Rachel’s parents were separated and have been ruled out in the investigation. They both maintain their innocence in her disappearance. She was born in New York City and lives in the Virgin Islands before her family moved to California.
While little evidence is available in her disappearance, authorities do not believe that Rachel left voluntarily. Her disappearance is classified as a non family abduction.
