Details of Disappearance

Richard Gorham was last seen on July 7th 1986 in Avra Valley, Arizona. He was last seen with his grandfather, Roland Himebrook, who is also missing. They vanished under unclear circumstances and haven’t been seen since.

Richard and Roland were both reported missing by a friend of Himebrooks on July 12th. Neither of them were heard from in a while. Rolands vehicle, a 1966 Chevrolet El Camino, was located on September 27th 1986 abandoned in the Silverbal area of Arizona. Extensive searches revealed no evidence of Richard or Rolands whereabouts.

Authorities believe that Richard and his grandfather may have met with foul play. Richards mother’s boyfriend at the time is considered a suspect in the case. He was abusive to Richard, his mother, and his sister. He’s also had several confrontations with Himebrook prior to their disappearance.

Richard and Roland have never been located and foul play is suspected in their disappearance. The case remains unsolved.
