Details of Disappearance

Christopher was last seen when he was put to bed in his crib at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 15th of 1986. In the early morning hours, his parents woke up to find his crib empty, there was no sign of Christopher anywhere. At 6:30 am, his parents reported his disappearance to authorities.

While authorities could not find a forced entry way into the home, they did find that the garage door opener was missing and the front door was unlocked. They also noted that a basement window was wide open.

Authorities initially treated the family as possible suspects in his case. His mother and father had separated prior to his disappearance but were slowly getting back together. It was the first night that Christopher’s father had been in there home. His mother also failed two polygraph exams but this could be due to her withdrawal of tranquilizers. They have not been officially cleared.

Extensive searches which included draining Quail Lake and other areas turned up no sign of the infant. His family refuses to believe that he is deceased. They believe he was abducted and he and maybe even his guardians do not know that he was abducted. They believe he was either taken to Texas or New Mexico.

The family has created a website with information about his case on it. According to the family, they would receive hang up phone calls for about 6 months before Christopher’s disappearance and they stopped when he vanished. They resumed after several months.

It’s unknown who could’ve possible broken into the home and taken Christopher. His sister believes that Emma Bradshaw, who had an affair with her father, had taken to boy. She had a history of breaking into people’s homes. She maintains her innocence in Christopher’s abduction and even won a suit against his sister for interfering with her employment.

The family still hopes to find Christopher and bring him home. Apparently after his disappearance, authorities destroyed most of the case evidence. The family stated that the PD has been very negligent with handling the case. Christopher’s case remains unsolved. Investigators suspect he was abducted by a non family member.
